PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION (PTA) HAPPENINGS:

YEARBOOKS will be passed out the last week of school! We received orders/payment for 354 yearbooks. If you did not order a yearbook for your child there will be a limited number for sale for $15. Your child MUST have the $15 with them to receive a book. This will be on a first come basis. Proof of purchase will be required if you believe you purchased a book and one was not received.  You can verify your purchase in advance: If you paid online you would have received an email receipt from Memorybooks. If you paid by check you will have your cancelled check as a receipt. If you paid by cash you will have recently received a receipt in backback mail. If you do not have an email confirmation from Memorybooks, a cancelled check or a cash receipt, then you most likely did not order a yearbook. Still not sure? Contact Luanne Eisenhardt (Lbeisenhardt@yahoo.com).

It’s time to start thinking about SCHOOL SUPPLIES for the 2014-2015 school year!  Order your school supplies online only at www.shopttkits.com .   Enter 1249 for Ivy’s school account number.  Deadline for ordering is Monday, May 26, 2014.  No hard copy forms will be accepted.  Please note that this is not a fundraiser.  The school PTA has organized this as a convenient and hassle free way to purchase school supplies.  Supplies will be delivered to the classroom ready for the first day of classes.  This is not part of the Textbook/Materials fee that you pay when registering for school.  Any questions, contact Cindy Stefani (847-392-1962).

PTA MEMBERSHIP:  All families have the opportunity to complete the registration process for the 2014 – 2015 school year online as well as joining the Ivy Hill PTA and ABC25.  We encourage all of our families to join the PTA, complete the PTA page when you are registering online and consider making a Budget Booster donation to assist with our fundraising efforts for next year.  We are looking forward to another successful and fun-filled year and welcoming back our current members and meeting new members!  Questions: Contact PTA Co-Presidents Denise Schreiner (deniseschreiner@sbcglobal.net) or Kara Janus (kmackjan@aol.com).

The PTA plans many fun events for our children throughout the year.  And we need VOLUNTEERS to help make them all successful!  There is something for everyone – some activities are during the school day, some in the evening, some involve working with students, some are behind the scenes.  Click this link   https://docs.google.com/a/ccsd21.org/forms/d/1qAOLY4tNnJeFB6nzPPsdXnUGM4vWKCnURK2t_d54Piw/viewform to complete a survey indicating events you are interested in volunteering for.   The event organizers will contact you prior to the event next school year to confirm your availability and role.  Questions?  Contact PTA 2nd Vice President and Volunteer Coordinator Dina Oberman (dina.oberman@ccsd21.org).
