We hope you can join us for the annual Ivy Hill PTA Skate Party at Orbit Skate Center – Thursday, February 28. All current Ivy Hill students and their immediate families are invited. Please note: this is NOT a drop-off event, all children must have adult supervision. The supervising adult is required to sign in and out at the front door. The final deadline to get your pictures in the YEARBOOK is coming up soon! All pictures must be uploaded by March 1st if you want them to be included in the yearbook! As always, only photos from school related events will be accepted. After March 1st, the only photos that will be accepted are from events/activities that occur after March 1st. To submit photos online, go to: https://images.memoryebooks.com/login. If it does not automatically log you into the site, enter username: 400143555 and password: ivyeagles. Please note the grade of the pictured students. Including names of the students is not necessary. Thanks for your help in making it a great yearbook!!!
FOOD DRIVE – February 25-28th – Family and Community Involvement is sponsoring a Food Drive to support our local Wheeling Township Food Pantry. Please bring nonperishable food to school and/or to the Orbit Skating Party on February 28th. Boxes will be available for drop off in the Commons Area and at Orbit. Most needed items include: canned meats, syrup, pancake mix, bottled juice, dry drink mixes, cake mix, tea, coffee, dry milk, evaporated milk, cooking oils, rice, canned fruit, canned vegetables, pasta, salad dressings, condiments, paper goods are always appreciated. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
It’s that time of year again…the nomination process to elect the 2013-2014 PTA Executive Committee starts now! Please seriously consider which individuals you feel are qualified to serve in the following capacities: Co-President, 1st VP, 2nd VP, 3rd VP (ways and means) and Secretary… Please use this nomination ballot to nominate your friends, neighbors, or even yourself for any of these rewarding PTA positions that directly impact our children’s Ivy Hill success. The nomination box will be in the school office. The Nominating Committee will meet in late February to determine the slate of officers based on your feedback! Register Now for the Just Move It! Challenge! The Arlington Heights Council of PTAs and the ABC/25 Foundation are pleased to invite runners and walkers of ALL ages and abilities to participate in a 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk that combines fitness and fun for the entire family! Last year, we were able to raise $15,000 that will benefit our District 25 teachers and students. We had almost 900 participants in attendance representing 9 schools in which over 400 of the runners were students. We are looking for sponsors and will need volunteers.
