There are still some openings for 2012-13 PTA Board Positions! We need people to chair or co-chair the following committees: Cultural Arts ~   Holiday Gift Shop ~ Membership ~ Safety Patrol. We would love to have you on the Board next year!! Click to see a list of Board positions and members. Please contact Cassy Mrowicki ( or Denise Schreiner ( if you would like to be on one of these committees or if you have any questions about them.

Keep us Moving Forward during drop off!  We need volunteers to help direct traffic in the mornings to ensure the safety of our children, please consider helping out next school year (2012-2013).  Our goal is to have enough volunteers that each volunteer would be assigned to volunteer for a one week rotation each month.  Please contact Jennifer Baumeister ( if you would like to help.

Help children in need and keep old school supplies out of landfills.  Donate your gently used school supplies!  We’ll be collecting school supplies during the last week of school in the Commons.  More info will be coming home separately.  We are also collecting used crayons.  The crayons can be in any condition and the size doesn’t matter.  They will be recycled into new crayons, helping to reduce the amount of trash going into landfills.  We will be collecting them next week as well.

I Fives go to:

Field Day Committee Carla Kim and JoAnna Lira for organizing a great Field Day for our kids.  Thank you also to Mr. Hengels and all the parent volunteers who came out to help with games, snacks, set-up and clean up!

All parents who attended the Volunteer Breakfast today.  We really appreciate your help all year long!!

Thanks to everyone who donated shoes during our used shoe drive this month and to everyone who recycled Caprisun and juice pouches this school year.  We collected over 130 shoes and about 1,000 Caprisun pouches!

A final thank you to Kenny Ramdass for all of his help with the morning traffic.  We will miss you next year.

Sherri Kontos, Tracy VanHoy, Regina Gomez and all of the Ivy Hill Staff who helped put together a great week of activities for our children to honor and say good-bye to Principal Csensich!

Congratulations to all our 5th graders!!  We know you’ll do great at Thomas!!

Thank you Principal Csensich for everything!!!  Best of luck in Peru and please come back to visit.
